Because we are working in the field of water and sanitation and we started in India, our most dedicated and bountiful beneficiaries are women.
They are the ones who are in charge of fetching water in most countries of the South (and not only!), they are also the ones who manage their families, who mother, work, endure, carry, feed etc. etc. Thus, little by little, the idea of a project that could support them began to emerge.
Then in 2018, we opened a small sewing workshop, which is located in our Pondicherry office and where Lourdes, our seamstress chef, officiates. It manufactures the products we sell now in our online solidarity shop.
We are planning to develop a training centre for village women.
